Rematriation Diaries: Birthing & Raising Children [Zoom Session Recording]

$23.00

In this session, I explain why I chose to have my baby in the Dominican Republic. We compare having a home birth versus going to the hospital and talk about the things that influenced my decision. We also talk about midwives, birth work, and doulas in the Dominican Republic, and we have guest speakers who are experts in this field including my own midwife. We also discuss how the process works for a child born in the Dominican Republic to get U.S. citizenship. We look at the different schooling options in the country to make sure our children get the education they need. Lastly, we talk about the lifestyle for children in the Dominican Republic, including the unique experiences and environment that can contribute to their growth and development in our cultural and ancestral homeland.
